Overview

In 1923, Shinjiro Torii envisioned crafting a whisky to enhance the Japanese dining experience. Hibiki Harmony is the realization of that vision, a blend of malt and grain whiskies aged in a variety of casks, including the distinctive plum liqueur barrels known as umeshu casks. The result is a layered, approachable whisky that balances delicate, floral notes with honeyed depth.

Tasting Notes

This layered whisky pours bright amber and offers notes of citrus, honey, lychee, rosemary and oak. It is full bodied and fruity on the palate, with a long, smooth finish. Overall, Hibiki Harmony blends malt and grain whiskies for delicate honey, orange peel and floral notes, delivering a smooth, balanced sip that feels truly harmonious.

Food Pairings

Smoked Trout: A classic match for this specific whisky, its bright citrus and honey notes complement the fish's delicate smokiness.

Grilled Yakitori: The savoury, slightly sweet glaze on grilled chicken skewers echoes the whisky's honeyed depth and rounds out its floral rosemary note.

Soft Ripened Cheese: A creamy cheese such as brie gives the lychee and orange peel notes something rich to play against.

Dark Chocolate Matcha Cake: The bitterness of matcha and cocoa balances the whisky's honeyed sweetness, while its oak notes echo the cake's depth.

Serving & Storage

Serve chilled or over ice in a tumbler, or neat in a Glencairn glass to appreciate its full aromatic range. Store the bottle upright, away from direct sunlight and heat, and reseal tightly after opening to preserve its delicate citrus and floral notes.

Gifting & Occasion

Hibiki Harmony's elegant, fluted bottle and approachable, food friendly profile make it a popular gift for whisky newcomers and enthusiasts alike. It suits holiday gifting, client appreciation, housewarmings or any occasion that calls for a refined, globally recognized Japanese whisky.

Producer & Region

Hibiki Harmony is produced by Suntory, one of Japan's most storied distillers, founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1923. The whisky is blended from malt and grain whiskies distilled at Suntory's Yamazaki and Hakushu malt distilleries and its Chita grain distillery in Japan.
