Overview
André Goichot Nuits-Saint-Georges 2022 comes from one of Burgundy's most storied Côte de Nuits appellations, where Pinot Noir reaches a depth and structure that place it among the region's most sought-after reds. This vintage shows the appellation's signature combination of ripe fruit and firm, elegant tannin, built for both the table and the cellar.
Tasting Notes
The glass opens with concentrated aromas of lush red cherries, framed by smoke and oak spice. With time and air the wine softens, revealing fine, silty tannins and a whisper of clove. Bright acidity carries the fruit through to a long, dynamic finish.
Food Pairings
Roasted Duck Breast with Cherry Sauce: The richness of the duck meets the wine's red cherry core, while its acidity cuts cleanly through the fat.
Wild Mushroom and Thyme Tart: Earthy mushroom flavours draw out the wine's smoky, savoury undertones for a quietly rustic match.
Aged Gruyère Cheese: Nutty, caramelized notes in the cheese echo the wine's oak spice and let its silty tannins show their full structure.
Seared Salmon with a Light Pinot Noir Reduction: A classic Burgundian pairing: the wine's fine tannin and bright acidity support the salmon without overwhelming it.
Serving & Storage
Serve at 14 to 16°C in a Burgundy-style glass to let the aromatics open fully. The wine can be enjoyed on release or held for further development; store it on its side in a cool, dark place away from vibration and temperature swings.
Gifting & Occasion
A polished choice for client thank-yous, corporate appreciation gifts, or any occasion calling for a wine with genuine Burgundian pedigree. Its refined structure and recognizable appellation make it a confident gift for serious wine lovers.
Producer & Region
Maison André Goichot is a long-established Burgundy house based in Beaune, sourcing and vinifying fruit across the Côte d'Or's classic appellations. Nuits-Saint-Georges sits at the southern end of the Côte de Nuits, prized for red wines that combine power with Burgundian finesse; by appellation convention the wine is made essentially entirely from Pinot Noir, the region's defining grape.
